Storefront Sales are the easiest way to get involved with fundraising. Families can sign up for 2-hour shifts to work the table at various locations around town. An experienced member of leadership will be onsite to help get you started and answer any questions you have.
To prepare for working a storefront sale:
Download the Trail's End app and set up your scout's account. *It is possible to set up multiple scouts within the app, but each scout needs their own individual login with unique email. If you have multiple scouts and prefer NOT to have multiple accounts using multiple emails, you can log all of your scouts' sales under one account, and we can split the funds between your scouts on the back end.
Make sure your scout wears their Class A uniform - shirt with patches, neckerchief, and scout shorts/pants (or nicer jean or khaki shorts/pants)
Review the three videos below with your scout to help them prepare for working the table.
*Note: For Trail's End products, the app facilitates all payments (cash, check, card, digital). We also have a Square card reader for quick processing of card payments.
You are also welcome to fundraise via door-to-door sales, friends and family, and work. Paper forms are available for those who prefer the low-tech approach. If you'd like to have product on hand, you can "check out" product from the Pack inventory. We also have a wagon available for check out to help facilitate door-to-door sales (or for sales at events, such as MU football game tailgates).
To help your scout prepare their sales pitch, take some time to watch the three videos above together.
Burger's Smokehouse products are separate from Trail's End, so we cannot us the Trail's End app to process those payments. For card and digital payments, we utilize Square. Cash and check can be accepted without needing an app. In the event that a customer wants BOTH Trail's End and Burger products, we combine both totals and process it as one purchase (using Square, cash, or check). We then enter the Trail's End part of the purchase in the app as a cash sale afterwards, to properly log the Trail's End product sale. If you have any questions, check in with our Popcorn Kernel (name of this individual is located on our Leadership page).
